Kinver Studios

Independent transmedia storytelling studio

Kinver Studios

An artist-led studio building a living mythology, told through fiction, audio, music, and other forms of storytelling, one piece at a time.

The studio

What Kinver Studios is

Kinver Studios is an independent, artist-led studio founded by the author Rowan Kinver. It develops original stories and worlds across literature, audio, and other forms of storytelling.

At the centre of the work is Skaldenreach, an original fantasy universe large enough to hold many stories. Each form, a novel, an audio drama, a piece of music, is another doorway into the same world. The aim is a living mythology, not a catalogue.

Skaldenreach

The universe at the centre of the studio's work

Skaldenreach is the world every other Kinver project draws from. Rowan approaches it as something living, with its own history, beliefs, conflicts, languages, and traditions, and stories that reach beyond any single narrative.

NovelsIn development

Mosswyn Hollow

A novel series within Skaldenreach

The Mosswyn Hollow novels follow characters growing up in a world larger and stranger than they first understand. The series turns on identity, friendship, belonging, responsibility, and the discovery that the world you thought you knew is only a small part of something greater.

Audio storytellingIn development

Tales from the Skald

An audio anthology set within Skaldenreach

An audio anthology built on theatre of the mind: voice, music, sound design, atmosphere, and performance, letting the audience build the world in their own imagination. Each tale stands on its own and adds another fragment to Skaldenreach. The anthology grows one tale at a time.

The storyteller

Rowan Kinver

Rowan Kinver is an author, storyteller, and creator of original worlds. Kinver Studios is where that work is gathered: the novels, the anthology, and the pieces that surround them.

About Rowan

The studio is at the beginning. The work is being made in the open, one piece at a time, and it is meant to be followed as it grows.
